No Jury No Prize 2017
Liberty Leading the People", 1830, Eugene Delacroix
|
No Jury, No Prize is an exhibition featuring the work of amateur and professional artists from this region.
It is an annual celebration of creativity, inspired by the artistic experimentation and egalitarian ethos of the Salon des Refusés and the Société des Artistes Indépendants in 19th century Paris. This artist-run exhibition started at London Street Gallery in 2013, as part of the City of Culture, and since then has been shown every year at Fort Dunree. This year, however, it moves to a new venue – The Alley Theatre Gallery, in Strabane - as it aims to encourage even more artists from the NW to participate. ArtLink and Creative Village Arts look forward to organising another amazing exhibition, celebrating the creative talent of the NW. |
